Who is God?
Who is God?

For this I am using the Hebraic Roots Bible 3rd Edition.

John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with the Elohim, and the Word was a Elohim.
2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.
3 Everything existed through His hands, and without Him, not even one thing existed of the things, which have existed.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men;
5 and the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.

In these 5 verses we do read that the Son and the Father was together in the beginning, but now who is the Father and who is the Son?

Firstly we must remember that the scriptures where not written in English but the Old Testament the Tenach was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Aramaic.
In Hebrew there was no one named Jesus but the name Yahoshua and the meaning of it is Yahovah’s salvation. Jesus has no entomology and in Hebrew there is no letter 'J'. So now we go to another to another verses:

Exodes 23: 20 and 21

20 Behold, I am about to send a messenger before you, to guard you in the way, and to bring you to the place which I have prepared.
21 Be on guard before Him, and listen to His voice. Do not be rebellious against Him, for He will not forgive your transgressions;
for My name is in Him.

Let us read that last part again “For My Name is in Him” and now lets read the Hebrew name Yahoshua’s meaning. Yahovah’s Salvation. My name is in Him, Yahovah’s Salvation, here we can see without a shadow of a doubt that the only name that the Son could ever have is Yahoshua as written in the Hebrew Torah. And the name written for the Father is Yahovah, Yahweh, YHVY, we are now starting to get a picture of the name of The Father. The LDS Church says that the name of the Father is Elohim, but the word Elohim is Hebrew is the word for God, gods, judges, rulers those in power, so it cannot be His name. We read the following in Leviticus 19:12 “12 And you shall not swear by My name to a falsehood; nor shall you pollute the name of your Elohim; I am Yahovah.” So if the Father said you shall not pollute His Holy name why would there be so many things be called Elohim? This proves that by reading the Bible in the original Hebrew we learn that the name of The Father is truly Yahovah or Yahweh, just depends on where you put the vowels. Now if we take the name Yahovah and take the vowels away we get YHVH. This also has a meaning in Hebrew it would be HVHY, the “H” stands for Behold, the “V” stands for Hand and the “Y” stands for Nail. So lets go back to the name of the Son Yahoshua. YHVH’s salvation and we put the meaning of the letters, Behold Hand, Behold Nail is Salvation. This gives us an even deeper understanding that “Jesus” who is Yahoshua is, was and will always be The salvation from the Father. But the shortened version of Yahoshua is Yahshua and it literally means Salvation. So even in His name is says Yahovah is the true Saviour, in the following versus we will see that this is true.
1 Timothy 1:1-2
“1 Paul an apostle of Yahshua Messiah according to a commandment of Elohim our Savior, and the Master Yahshua Messiah, our Hope, 2 to Timothy, a true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, peace from YAHWEH our Father and our Master Yahshua Messiah.”
2 Timothy 1:8-11
8 Then do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Master, nor of me, His prisoner. But suffer hardship with the good news, according to the power of Elohim,
9 the One having saved us and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace given to us in Messiah Yahshua before the world began,
10 but now revealed through the appearance of our Savior, Yahshua Messiah, indeed making death of no effect, bringing life and immortality to light through the good news,
11 for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and a teacher of nations.

Titus 1:1-4
1 Paul, a servant of Elohim and an apostle of Yahshua Messiah according to the faith of the elect of Elohim and full knowledge of the truth according to holiness,
2 in the hope of eternal life which the Elohim who does not lie promised before the eternal times,
3 but revealed in its own times in a proclamation of His Word, with which I was entrusted by the command of Elohim our Savior;
4 to Titus, a true son according to our common faith: Grace, mercy, peace from YAHWEH the Father and our Master Yahshua Messiah our Savior.

Judah 1:24-25
24 Now to Him being able to keep you without stumbling, and to set you before His glory without blemish, with unspeakable joy;
25 to the only wise Elohim, our Savior, through Yahshua Messiah our Master, be glory and majesty and might and authority, even now and forever.Amen.

So we see that the Father is the true Savior.

Then most of the Churches today believe in the Trinity that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is One being with different personages, I do not know about you but the God I love and serve does not have a split personality. The LDS Church has this part right, the Godhead, The Father is one being, the Son is one Being, this we also read in the bible.

John 5:19 - 32

19 Then Yahshua answered and said to them, Truly, truly I say to you that the Son is not able to do anything by his desire, but what he sees that the Father does. For these things that the Father does, the Son also likewise does.
20 For the Father loves the Son and shows to Him all things which He does. And He will show Him greater works than these in order that you may marvel.
21 For even as the Father raises the dead, and gives life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills.
22 For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,
23 so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him.
24 Truly, truly, I say to you, The one who hears My Word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has removed himself out of death into life.
25 Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of Yahovah, and the ones hearing will live.
26 For even as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself.
27 And He also gave authority to Him to execute judgment, for He is the Son of Man.
28 Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice.
29 And they will come out, the ones having done good into a resurrection of life; and the ones having practiced evil into a resurrection of judgment.
30 I am not able to do anything of my desire, but as I hear I judge and my judgment is just, for I don't seek my will, rather the will of He who sent me.
31 If I witness concerning Myself, My witness is not true;
32 it is Another that witnesses concerning Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses concerning Me is true.

But now we have a problem? The Godhead is supposed to be 3 as the trinity states, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Now if we go to what some LDS Members believe to be revelation from Joseph Smith jr, and some believe it not to be from him but was part of the Doctrine and Covenants of 1879 but later removed. Lets see what the Lectures on Faith has to say about the Father and Son and then the Holy Spirit.

Lecture 5:

1. In our former lectures we treated of the being, character, perfections, and attributes, of God. What we mean by perfections is, the perfections which belong to all the attributes of his nature. We shall, in this lecture, speak of the Godhead—we mean the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2. There are two personages who constitute the great, matchless, governing, and supreme power over all things, by whom all things were created and made, that are created and made, whether visible or invisible, whether in heaven, on earth, or in the earth, under the earth, or throughout the immensity of space. They are the Father and the Son—the Father being a personage of spirit, glory, and power, possessing all perfection and fullness, the Son, who was in the bosom of the Father, a personage of tabernacle, made or fashioned like unto man, or being in the form and likeness of man, or rather man was formed after his likeness and in his image
f he is also the express image and likeness of the personage of the Father, possessing all the fullness of the Father, or the same fullness with the Father; being begotten of him, and ordained from before the foundation of the world to be a propitiation for the sins of all those who should believe on his name, and is called the Son because of the flesh, and descended in suffering below that which man can suffer ; or, in other words, suffered greater sufferings, and was exposed to more powerful contradictions than any man can be.
Do the Father and the Son possess the same mind?
They do. John V. 30: "I (Christ) can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just ; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father who sent me." John vi. 38: "For I (Christ) came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me." John x. 30: "I (Christ) and my Father are one."
What is this mind?
The Holy Spirit. John xv. 26: "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me(Christ)." Galatians iv.6: "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts."
